Process for the Inclusion of Additional Issues in the Green Party Platform

In an April phone conversation, Steven Schmidt, Chair of the Platform Committee, stated that due to the advanced state of the Platform revision process (see: Platform Committee Report, March 2000), including new issues in the Green Platform now requires that support be found in state Green organizations for endorsement, and for the appropriate revision of existing and proposed paragraphs. At the June 24 Green Party Convention, state representatives can then sponsor these changes during the Platform ratification process.
